    The civil rights chief and US presidential hopeful ‘died peacefully’ on Tuesday, his household stated.

    United States civil rights chief Reverend Jesse Jackson has died aged 84.

    Jackson “died peacefully” on Tuesday morning, a press release from his household stated.

    “His unwavering dedication to justice, equality, and human rights helped shake a world motion for freedom and dignity,” the assertion continued.

    “Our father was a ⁠servant chief – not ⁠solely to our household, ⁠however to the oppressed, the unvoiced, and the ‌missed world wide,” the Jackson household stated.

    ⁠The eloquent Baptist ⁠minister was raised within the segregated US South. He ‌turned a detailed affiliate of Martin Luther King ⁠and twice ran for ⁠the Democratic presidential nomination.

    Jackson was identified with Parkinson’s illness in 2017.

    He spent many years advocating for the rights of Black People and different minorities relationship again to the turmoil of the civil rights motion of the Sixties.
