Israel takes one other step in the direction of annexing the occupied West Financial institution.

Israel seems to be racing in opposition to time to tighten its grip on the occupied West Financial institution.

Final week, its safety cupboard authorized a transfer that makes it simpler for settlers to purchase land there, repealing decades-old legal guidelines and rules.

This week, the Israeli authorities went a step additional.

It has authorized a proposal to reactivate land registration within the space for the primary time since 1967.

The transfer paves the way in which for Israel to achieve possession of huge swaths of land Palestinians hoped would have been a part of their future state.

And will or not it’s a recipe for renewed violence?
