WASHINGTON: The White Home criticised the Norwegian Nobel Committee on Friday (Oct 10) after it awarded the peace prize to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado and overlooked US President Donald Trump.

“The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace,” White Home Director of Communications Steven Cheung stated on X.

“President Trump will proceed making peace offers, ending wars, and saving lives. He has the guts of a humanitarian, and there’ll by no means be anybody like him who can transfer mountains with the sheer power of his will.”

Since returning to the White Home for his second time period in January, Trump had repeatedly insisted that he deserved the Nobel for his position in resolving quite a few conflicts – a declare observers say is broadly exaggerated.
