    LONDON: US President Donald Trump instructed the BBC Thursday (Apr 23) that British King Charles III’s upcoming state visit to the United States might “completely” assist rebuild strained ties between the 2 international locations.

    Charles heads to the US on Monday for a four-day journey, with transatlantic tensions over the Iran conflict and scandals linked to the late US intercourse offender Jeffrey Epstein threatening to intrude on the landmark go to.

    Requested by the BBC whether or not Charles’s go to might assist restore the connection between the US and UK, Trump instructed the BBC: “Completely. He is unbelievable. He is a unbelievable man.

    Trump has harshly criticised British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for not becoming a member of the US-Israeli conflict on Iran, launched on Feb 28.

    The president commented in his cellphone interview with the BBC on the navy response of US allies together with Britain, saying “they need to have been there”, whereas including: “I did not want them, clearly.”

    Starmer has been mired in a political scandal over appointing Labour grandee Peter Mandelson, a recognized affiliate of Epstein, as UK ambassador to Washington.

    Trump instructed the BBC that Starmer might solely “recuperate” from the setback if the prime minister “opened the North Sea” to extend oil and fuel extraction and “his immigration insurance policies grew to become sturdy”.

    “But when he does not, I do not suppose he has an opportunity,” the US chief added.
