    WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump on Monday (Jul 13) stated a cope with Iran was nonetheless potential because the US army launched a recent salvo of assaults for the third evening in a row and reimposed a blockade on Iranian ports.

    “We’ll hit them very onerous tonight, and we will hit them onerous tomorrow,” Trump stated on the White Home on Monday.

    He added that the US strikes have been aimed toward knocking out Iran’s offensive functionality.

    “Yeah, I believe a deal is feasible. Positive, I do,” Trump advised reporters within the Oval Workplace. “We had a cope with them two days in the past after which they stated ‘Oh we will not make that deal. We now have to barter it additional’.”

    The US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated strikes had begun at 8.45pm GMT (4.45am, Tuesday, Singapore time), including that they might “proceed imposing a heavy price on Iranian forces and degrade their potential to assault harmless civilians and industrial transport within the Strait of Hormuz”.

    The reimposed blockade would start at 8pm GMT on Tuesday (4am, Wednesday, Singapore time), CENTCOM stated, as oil costs shot up greater than 9 per cent after either side traded assaults, elevating fears of renewed battle.

    Trump advised reporters that he desires Gulf nations to reimburse the US for serving to defend the Strait of Hormuz.
