    BRUSSELS: The European Union and Britain focused Russia on Monday (Jul 13) with coordinated sanctions over cyber assaults in Europe, accusing Moscow’s FSB intelligence company over involvement in digital strikes.

    The transfer comes as Western officers warn Russia has stepped up its “hybrid” marketing campaign to destabilise Europe over 4 years into the conflict on Ukraine.

    Brussels stated it was imposing sanctions on 9 individuals and 4 entities, whereas London stated it was including 24 names to its blacklist.

    The British authorities stated the sanctions – the primary joint cyber bundle with the EU – “goal the Russian state’s persistent and more and more reckless makes an attempt to sow chaos and division throughout Europe”.
