Venezuelan lawmakers on Friday unanimously authorised a legislation that makes it simpler to lease properties.
The measure, which goals to assist displaced quake victims, repeals anti-rental laws handed by former leftist Chavista administrations.
“We’re estimating round 400,000 houses that might profit from this legislation,” interim chief Delcy Rodriguez stated earlier on Monday, describing a “win-win” scenario for tenants and property house owners.
Rodriguez beforehand pledged to supply 4,000 houses to quake victims by the top of the 12 months, with the federal government aiming for that quantity to exceed 10,000 in 2027.
The interim chief is governing below Washington’s shut watch after US forces ousted her predecessor Nicolas Maduro in January.
