    TOLERANCE AND INCLUSIVENESS

Since Harald’s passing, individuals have streamed of their tens of hundreds to say goodbye to the late king on the royal palace, the place he lies in state, with many well-wishers remembering his sense of inclusiveness and tolerance.

Flags have been flying at half-mast all through the nation and portraits of the late king in gala uniform may very well be seen at bus stops, trams and metro stations to retailers, places of work and public buildings.

The principle avenue in central Oslo, Karl Johan, was tightly full of individuals from all walks of life heading in the direction of the palace, clutching flowers, handwritten playing cards, drawings and small nationwide flags.

Mourners praised the late king’s spirit of inclusiveness.

“He meant lots to us immigrants … We felt actually very included. So, because of him, I really feel so Norwegian,” Veselina Vitanova, a 43-year-old trainer initially from Bulgaria, instructed Reuters outdoors the palace.

One other referred to a speech Harald delivered in 2016 that went viral worldwide, through which he mentioned: “Norwegians are women who love women, boys who love girls and boys and boys who love one another”.

“It embodies the way in which he felt about individuals and the way in which he wished us Norwegians to really feel about one another,” mentioned Mari Eidsvaag, 32, who wore a T-shirt emblazoned with that sentence, a rainbow and a drawing of King Harald.

“I feel it is a vital assertion, particularly today,” she instructed Reuters.
