Rudy Gobert was universally mocked a 12 months in the past when Luka Doncic danced throughout him and despatched the Timberwolves packing.

A 12 months later, the Frenchman has redeemed himself.

In Wednesday’s series-clinching win over Doncic’s Lakers, Gobert had 27 factors and 24 rebounds on 12-of-15 taking pictures, proving to be the last word distinction maker towards the undersized Purple and Gold.

Gobert almost out-rebounded all of the Lakers starters himself and grabbed 9 offensive rebounds, which created a dozen of the Timberwolves’ 20 second-chance points.

The 7-footer grew to become the primary participant ever to document a 25/20 sport on 80 % taking pictures in a series-clinching playoff sport, and the fifth general to document a 25/20 stat line on 75 % taking pictures in any postseason sport.

Shaquille O’Neal, throughout the 2004 NBA Finals, was the final participant to document a comparable stat line in a playoff sport.
