    SEOUL: North Korea on Thursday (Jun 19) slammed Israel’s launching of strikes to spark its battle with Iran, and warned the USA and European powers towards “fanning up the flames of battle”, in line with a international ministry spokesperson.

    The North expressed “severe concern” over “Israel’s army assault and resolutely denounces it”, the spokesperson mentioned, including that Israel’s killing of civilians was “an unpardonable crime towards humanity”.

    “The unlawful act of state-sponsored terrorism by Israel (is) elevating the hazard of a brand new all-out battle within the Center East area,” mentioned the assertion, which was printed by state-run information company KCNA.

    Israel on Friday launched strikes that it mentioned focused Iran’s nuclear programme, sparking six days of continuing exchanges which have seen either side firing salvoes of missiles at one another.

    Iran mentioned on Sunday that Israeli strikes had killed no less than 224 individuals, together with army commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians. It has not issued an up to date toll since then.
