FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida: Crew members from a Disney cruise ship saved a lady who fell overboard and her father who jumped in after her.

The Disney Dream rescue workforce pulled the lady and her father right into a small boat on Sunday (Jun 29) because the cruise ship was returning to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from the Bahamas on the final day of the voyage, in line with Disney and passengers who recorded the rescue on video.

Passengers have been alerted that somebody had fallen overboard by an announcement over the ship’s loudspeakers, mentioned passenger Kevin Furuta in a social media submit.

“Fortunately the (Disney Cruise Traces) rescue workforce was on it instantly and each have been saved!” Furuta mentioned in a submit to the Fb group, Disney Dream Cruise Ship Group.

No data has been launched about how the lady fell overboard.

“We commend our crew members for his or her distinctive abilities and immediate actions, which ensured the secure return of each company to the ship inside minutes,” Disney mentioned in an announcement.

“We’re dedicated to the security and well-being of our company, and this incident highlights the effectiveness of our security protocols.”

The Coast Guard did not reply to an electronic mail in search of remark.
