Following a smattering of criticism after NASCAR opted to attend almost 35 seconds to throw the warning flag for Cody Ware’s violent crash with two laps to go in Sunday’s Grant Park 165, NASCAR Cup Sequence managing director Brad Moran took to the airwaves to debate how NASCAR officiated the top of Sunday’s race.

Talking on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio on Tuesday, Moran did say that NASCAR would “evaluate” the incident and NASCAR’s response.

“We did not have the precise footage of the impression of the automotive moving into the tire barrier,” Moran said on “The Morning Drive.” “That is one thing we’ll take again, we’ll have a look at if we return to Chicago. We’ll be sure areas of that racetrack and undoubtedly enhancing that scenario.”
