    Flights throughout the UK have been briefly disrupted because the nation’s air visitors management authority reported a “technical challenge”, however later mentioned the glitch had been resolved.

    The Nationwide Air Visitors Service, or NATS, mentioned in a press release on Wednesday that departures in any respect airports have resumed and that groups are working with affected airways and airports to “clear the backlog safely”.

    “Our methods are absolutely operational and air visitors capability is returning to regular,” it mentioned.

    Earlier, NATS mentioned engineers have been within the means of “resuming regular operations within the London space”.

    London’s Heathrow Airport had mentioned flights weren’t departing, whereas Edinburgh Airport mentioned the problem was affecting all departing flights.
