    WASHINGTON: The White Home launched a TikTok account on Tuesday (Aug 19), as President Donald Trump continues to allow the Chinese language-owned platform to function in the US regardless of a legislation requiring its sale.

    “America we’re BACK! What’s up TikTok?” learn a caption on the account’s first publish on the favored video-sharing app, a 27-second clip.

    The account had about 4,500 followers an hour after posting the video. Trump’s private account on TikTok in the meantime, has 110.1 million followers, although his final publish was on Nov 5, 2024 – Election Day.

    TikTok is owned by China-based web firm ByteDance.
