    Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has warned {that a} US attack on a NATO ally would end the alliance.

    “Safety within the Arctic is of essential significance to the Kingdom of Denmark and our Arctic allies, and it’s due to this fact essential that we, in shut cooperation with allies, additional strengthen our capability to function within the area,” Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen stated in Wednesday’s assertion. 

    The train actions in 2026 may embody guarding essential infrastructure, offering help to native authorities in Greenland, together with the police, receiving allied troops, deploying fighter plane in and round Greenland, and conducting naval operations, the ministry stated.

    Denmark final 12 months hosted workout routines in Greenland by which NATO allies Germany, France, Norway and Sweden took half, it stated.

    Danish International Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen and his Greenlandic counterpart had been to hold talks Wednesday in Washington with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance.
