    TAIPEI: Taiwan’s commerce negotiating group has left for the USA to carry their last assembly on a trade and tariff deal struck final month, the island’s authorities stated on Tuesday (Feb 10).

    Beneath the phrases of the settlement, tariffs on Taiwan’s exports to the US shall be lower to fifteen per cent from 20 per cent.

    Taiwan firms will even make investments US$250 billion to spice up the manufacturing of semiconductors, vitality and synthetic intelligence within the US, whereas Taiwan will even assure an extra US$250 billion in credit score to facilitate additional funding.

    Taiwan Vice Premier Cheng Li-chiun and chief commerce negotiator Yang Jen-ni departed on Tuesday night time and are anticipated to carry “a last assembly with the US aspect concerning the ‘Taiwan–US Settlement on Reciprocal Commerce'”, Taiwan’s Cupboard stated in an announcement.
