BRUSSELS: The European Union will participate in this week’s inaugural meeting of United States President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace, however a spokesman insisted on Monday (Feb 16) that Brussels wouldn’t be becoming a member of as a member.
The European commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Suica, will head to Washington to signify the EU on the assembly on Thursday.

The Board of Peace, of which Trump is the chairman, was initially designed to supervise the Gaza truce and reconstruction after the struggle between Hamas and Israel.

Some EU member states have raised considerations concerning the board.
