    GENEVA: The UN human rights workplace on Tuesday (Mar 3) urged what it referred to as the forces behind a deadly attack on a girls’ school in Iran to research and share insights into the incident, with out saying who it believed was accountable.

    “The Excessive Commissioner (Volker Turk) requires a immediate, neutral and thorough investigation into the circumstances of the assault. The onus is on the forces that carried out the assault to research it,” UN human rights workplace spokesperson Ravina Shamdasani informed a Geneva press briefing.

    “That is completely horrific,” Shamdasani stated, including that photos circulating on social media captured “the essence of the destruction, despair and senselessness and cruelty of this battle”.

    Turk additionally urged all events to train restraint and to return to the negotiating desk, she stated. The varsity in southern Iran was hit on Saturday, the primary day of US and Israeli assaults in opposition to the nation. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on Monday that US forces “wouldn’t intentionally goal a faculty”. Israel has stated it’s investigating the incident.

    Iran’s ambassador to the UN in Geneva Ali Bahreini had beforehand raised the problem with Turk in a letter dated Mar 1, calling the assault “unjustifiable” and “prison”.

    He stated the assault had killed 150 college students.
