Re: “Joe Kent resigns, says Iran posed ‘no imminent threat’ ” (March 17, Nation):

President Donald Trump stated he was testing the loyalty of allied nations along with his request for assist to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He has put Cuba, struggling nationwide blackouts, in jeopardy, putting tariffs on nations supplying it with oil, saying he may do something he needs as it’s a weakened nation.

The peace deal in Ukraine and Russia is on the again burner with the administration’s 30-day waiver on Russian oil sanctions. And the place are we with Trump’s peace deal in Gaza, the place youngsters and pregnant ladies are nonetheless getting killed and individuals are nonetheless homeless with little meals?

Not needing our allies. Doing something he needs in Cuba. No success in peacemaking. How does this make the US stand on the earth? This president has made a mockery of those points. He’s not a frontrunner, he’s attempting to be huge and daring, however that is removed from the reality.

Now the Nationwide Counterterrorism Middle director has resigned, stating that Iran isn’t any imminent risk. Thanks, Joe Kent, for standing up and telling the reality. Possibly this would be the begin of others following Kent’s lead.
