A conspiracy theory has floated in NBA circles for years that groups up their depth (and miraculously get wholesome) when the Los Angeles Lakers roll into city. The idea is rooted in the truth that the Purple and Gold play the most nationally televised games and have a perennial highlight shining upon them.

The idea was examined Saturday when the Lakers visited the Memphis Grizzlies. Ja Morant (hamstring) had missed the earlier six video games and was a game-time decision. L.A. head coach JJ Redick declared that he anticipated Morant to play hours earlier than the sport, citing a discovery made by his analytics division.

Within the lead-up to the sport, Redick mentioned his analytics division had found that 86% of opponents’ gamers have been out there to play in opposition to Los Angeles this yr, which ranks No. 1 within the league.
