Protection Secretary Pete Hegseth on Saturday night introduced that Energetic Responsibility Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton will likely be mobilized to quell the anti-ICE riots in downtown Los Angeles.
Camp Pendleton is situated about 80 miles south of Los Angeles in North San Diego County.
Violent protests started on Friday after ICE brokers performed a number of raids in downtown Los Angeles on Friday.

Hegseth made the announcement shortly after President Trump signed a presidential memorandum deploying 2,000 Nationwide Guardsmen to “tackle the lawlessness.”
“The violent mob assaults on ICE and Federal Legislation Enforcement are designed to stop the removing of Felony Unlawful Aliens from our soil; a harmful invasion facilitated by felony cartels (aka International Terrorist Organizations) and an enormous NATIONAL SECURITY RISK,” Hegseth stated.
“Beneath President Trump, violence & destruction in opposition to federal brokers & federal services will NOT be tolerated. It’s COMMON SENSE,” Hegseth stated.
“The @DeptofDefense is mobilizing the Nationwide Guard IMMEDIATELY to help federal regulation enforcement in Los Angeles. And, if violence continues, lively obligation Marines at Camp Pendleton can even be mobilized — they’re on excessive alert,” he added.
