Scott Weiner, a Democratic State Senator in California, is introducing laws that will permit individuals to sue oil firms over the wildfires which have ravaged the state in latest weeks.

That is typical Democrat political sleight of hand.

Oil firms had NOTHING to do with the harmful nature of those fires. If individuals wish to sue somebody, they need to sue the Democrats who run the state and utterly dropped the ball on being prepared for these solely predictable fires.

It’s superb that that is even actual.

    From CBS News:

A newly proposed California state legislation would create a brand new pathway for victims of wildfires and insurance coverage firms to sue oil firms over local weather change.

Democratic State Senator Scott Weiner launched the invoice straight linking the wildfires to local weather change brought on by oil firms, as a part of the statewide response to the Los Angeles-area wildfires.

“Completely catastrophic wildfires taking place in the midst of winter,” Weiner mentioned. “For insurance coverage firms, they’re going to should, if this invoice passes, they’re going to should take a really exhausting take a look at in search of compensation from the oil firms.”

Republican State Senator Roger Niello is against the invoice.

“It will likely be an invite for lawsuits,” Niello mentioned. “This furthers the narrative, the false narrative that that is all about local weather change. It’s after all way more sophisticated than that.”

That is Weiner. He’s making an attempt to position all the blame for this on local weather change and oil firms.

I’m introducing laws (SB 222) to make sure oil firms pay for the climate-fueled disasters which can be burning & flooding California.

Californians are bearing these prices with explosive insurance coverage premium will increase that make CA much less reasonably priced. That has to vary.

Did oil firms trigger the dearth of water within the hearth hydrants? Did oil firms fail to clear all the flammable brush? No. The Democrats who run the state did that.

Oil firms did not mismanage California’s hearth mitigation and preparedness. Democrats did that.

In reality oil firms not solely did not have something to do with these fires, they’re answerable for all the petroleum merchandise utilized by firefighters to place out the Democrat fires. https://t.co/u4YMC6YALp

California won’t be saved till these Democrats are voted out of workplace.
