Three weeks of the faculty basketball season are within the books, and whereas many groups gear up for nonconference clashes, Friday offered its personal pleasure that each fan yearns for.

From buzzer-beaters and dramatic finishes to devastating defeats, listed here are this weekend’s winners and losers.

Winner: Wake Forest guard Myles Colvin

Wake Forest has suffered a few crushing losses thus far by the hands of Michigan and Texas Tech. However on Friday, the Demon Deacons have been on the proper facet of a last-second shot.

Down by two with 1.5 seconds remaining, Wake Forest executed an ideal Hail Mary play that finally landed within the arms of guard Myles Colvin, who drained a 3-pointer on the buzzer to knock off Memphis. The Demon Deacons exit the Baha Mar Championship with a 1-1 document and could also be a sneaky workforce to observe within the ACC.
