    The divisional spherical of the 2025 MLB playoffs continued on Monday with the 2 Nationwide League sequence taking heart stage. The Los Angeles Dodgers held off a late rally from the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-3, to take a 2-0 sequence lead, whereas the Milwaukee Brewers took benefit of a three-homer evening to win 7-3 and take a 2-0 lead over the Chicago Cubs.

    Listed below are some key takeaways from Monday’s video games.

    Freddie Freeman bails Dodgers out after early pitcher’s duel in Philadelphia

    Down 4-3 with two outs within the ninth and runners on the corners, the Phillies seemed to be in a wonderful place to tie the sequence at one recreation apiece. 

    That was till shortstop Trea Turner grounded out to second. Regardless of a poor throw to first base from Tommy Edman, Freeman stretched for the sport’s last out to provide the Dodgers a 2-0 lead within the best-of-five sequence.
