    It’s onerous to imagine that ‘something constructive’ for Lebanon can come from its talks with Israel, argues analyst Imad Harb.

    Regardless of brokering a ceasefire on paper, the USA shouldn’t be standing in the way in which of Israel’s conflict on Lebanon, argues Imad Harb, senior fellow on the Arab Heart Washington DC.

    Harb tells host Steve Clemons that Hezbollah is an excuse for Israel to conduct a land seize in Lebanon, much like what it’s doing in Gaza, the West Financial institution and Syria.

    Pushing the Lebanese authorities to disarm Hezbollah “means civil conflict in Lebanon”, particularly if Israel is allowed to occupy massive swaths of Lebanese territory, says Harb.
