Re: “Driest part of the year is just getting started” (July 7, Northwest) and “Seattle’s population tops 800,000 mark, state data shows” (July 7, A1):

It is going to be in the perfect curiosity of all of us if Seattle Public Utilities steps up the knowledge it makes out there to the general public relating to water use.

Newcomers to town have to study the place their water is coming from and have to know that we’re at present in a drought. All of us must be reminded to concentrate to how a lot water we use and to be reminded that we’re answerable for turning water off fully after we’re completed. All of the 816,600 of us need showers, to do our laundry, water our gardens and flush our bogs — that’s a whole lot of water.

All of us must be made conscious of the half every of us has in utilizing water properly.

    Diane Steen, Seattle
