    WASHINGTON: France has summoned the American ambassador to Paris after the diplomat, Charles Kushner, wrote a letter to French President Emmanuel Macron alleging the nation didn’t do sufficient to fight antisemitism.

    France’s international ministry issued a press release on Sunday (Aug 24) asserting it had summoned Kushner to seem Monday on the French Ministry for Europe and International Affairs and that his allegations “are unacceptable”.

    The White Home and US State Division didn’t instantly reply to messages in search of remark. The summoning of the ambassador is a proper and public discover of displeasure.

    Kushner, an actual property developer, is the daddy of President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

    The French international ministry, in its assertion, stated “France firmly rejects these allegations” from Kushner and that French authorities have “absolutely mobilized” to fight an increase in antisemitic acts since the Oct 7, 2023 attack by Hamas on Israel, deeming the acts “insupportable”.

    The contents of the letter weren’t launched.

    Kushner’s allegations violate worldwide regulation and the duty to not intrude with the inner affairs of one other nation, the French ministry stated, and: “Additionally they fall in need of the standard of the transatlantic partnership between France and the US and of the belief that should prevail between allies”.
