If there was any concern as to why huge receiver George Pickens had not signed his franchise tag with the Dallas Cowboys, it may formally be put to mattress. The Cowboys introduced on Wednesday that Pickens has formally signed his franchise tender, locking in a $27.3 million wage for the 2026 season.

Now that Pickens has signed it, the main target turns to what occurs subsequent.

What’s George Pickens future with Dallas Cowboys?

The more than likely and logical end result is that Pickens performs the 2026 season with the Cowboys and goes into free company subsequent offseason. The Cowboys have already mentioned they don’t intend to barter a long-term contract extension with Pickens in 2026, indicating this may very well be a one-year state of affairs.

Within the short-term, there’s some potential profit there for the Cowboys.

Pickens enjoying in a contract 12 months might lead to an extra-motivated participant and a probably huge season as he tries to play for a contract subsequent spring.
