    I’ve been volunteering at Seattle blood drives for a number of years, registering donors. I’m typically requested to mentor new volunteers, who’re uniformly enthusiastic, fast learners. I lately realized there are hardly any who’re native-born residents like myself. Nearly all first-generation immigrants.

    Why on earth is the present administration giving individuals like this a tough time? I’m so grateful for them.
