    Supreme Chief Ayatollah Ali Khamenei says ‘negotiating with America is neither sensible, sensible, or honourable’.

    Iran hit out at the USA for imposing new sanctions in opposition to its oil trade, as Supreme Chief Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned in opposition to mooted talks with Washington.

    A spokesman for the Ministry of International Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Friday condemned the sanctions, introduced the day gone by, as “illegitimate and illegal,” the official IRNA information company reported.

    “The choice of the brand new US administration to exert strain on the Iranian folks by stopping Iran from conducting respectable commerce with its financial companions is an illegitimate and illegal motion,” spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei mentioned.

    Iran “holds the USA accountable for the implications and repercussions of such unilateral and bullying actions”, he added.

    Supreme Chief Ayatollah Ali Khamenei later remarked that negotiation with the US is “not sensible, sensible or honourable”.

    US President Donald Trump advised earlier this week that he plans to boost the strain on Iran after which attain a “verified nuclear peace settlement”.

    Throughout his earlier time period in workplace in 2018, Trump pulled the US out of the 2015 pact between Iran and world powers designed to control Tehran’s nuclear capabilities, and reimposed harsh sanctions.

    These measures prompted Tehran to violate the pact’s limitations.

    “Negotiating with America is neither sensible, sensible, or honourable. It is not going to remedy any of our issues. The explanation? Expertise!” Khamenei was quoted as saying on Friday, including that Iran had made concessions up to now however the US “tore up” earlier agreements.

    He warned that if the US threatens Iran’s safety, Tehran “will threaten [the US’s] safety”.

    The sanctions introduced on Thursday have been the primary new ones to be levied on Iran since Trump returned to the White Home.

    The US president has promised to carry Iran’s crude exports to zero, declaring them a part of the ambition to halt Tehran’s nuclear programme.

    The measures goal Iranian corporations, ships and people affiliated with corporations already sanctioned by the US.  The people and tankers affected assist ship tens of millions of barrels of Iranian crude oil to China yearly.

    Germany, France and the UK have been holding diplomatic talks with Tehran in latest months within the hope of looking for a route in the direction of resuming the Joint Complete Plan of Motion (JCPOA) pact that Trump unilaterally scuppered in 2018.

    A senior Iranian official advised the Reuters information company on Wednesday that Iran is able to give the US an opportunity to resolve disputes.

    Iran has lengthy rejected sanctions in opposition to its oil sector and views efforts to confiscate its exports as “piracy”.
