Within the ultimate quarter of 2024, the New York Rangers made two strikes that will probably be talked about for a very long time.

In October, the Rangers signed 2020 No. 1 total draft decide Alexis Lafreniere to a seven-year, $52.15M  deal. On the time, he had scored 63 factors (32 objectives, 31 assists) in his earlier 82 video games (together with 14 playoff video games).

In his previous 37 video games, he has solely 18 factors.

Then, in December, the Rangers dealt their struggling 2019 No. 2 total draft decide Kaapo Kakko to the Seattle Kraken for 2 draft picks and unheralded defenseman Will Borgen.

Kakko started scoring nearly instantly, placing up 10 factors in his first 13 video games in Seattle.
