The Kentucky Wildcats have hardly been at full power all season, and that’s not going to vary after Monday’s announcement.

Throughout his weekly radio present, head coach Mark Pope confirmed that time guard Jaland Lowe will endure season-ending shoulder surgical procedure, per On3’s Joe Tipton. This comes after Lowe exited Saturday’s win over Mississippi State after re-aggravating the damage simply three minutes into the sport.

In accordance with Pope, Lowe, who transferred from Pittsburgh after averaging 16.8 PPG final season, will want round six months of rehab to recuperate from the shoulder damage, one during which Lowe dislocated thrice both throughout video games or apply.

As Kentucky’s solely true level guard on its roster, Lowe’s affect has been felt when he’s on and off the ground. Though he has missed seven video games complete, Lowe made his first begin of the season on Jan. 7 in opposition to Missouri and scored a season-high 21 factors (8-of-16 FG) in Kentucky’s SEC opener in opposition to then-14 Alabama.
