    RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia and Qatar are engaged in efforts to halt deadly fighting between Pakistan and Afghanistan, a supply with data of the talks instructed AFP on Friday (Feb 27).

    The diplomatic drive comes as fears of a spiralling battle grew after Pakistan bombed main cities in Afghanistan, declaring that they had been in an “open warfare” with the Taliban.

    “Saudi Arabia, in coordination with Qatar, is making efforts to scale back tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan,” stated the supply, requesting anonymity to debate delicate issues.

    The objective is to “de-escalate the state of affairs and forestall it from spiralling uncontrolled,” they added.

    On Friday, the appearing Afghan international minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi known as Qatar’s chief negotiator Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, Doha stated.

    Saudi Arabia’s international minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, additionally spoke together with his Pakistani counterpart, Ishaq Dar, in keeping with a Saudi assertion.
