    MOSCOW: The Kremlin on Friday (Sep 26) denounced calls for NATO allies to shoot down Russian planes coming into their airspace as “reckless,” after US President Donald Trump stated alliance members ought to achieve this.

    A number of NATO international locations have accused Moscow of testing the alliance by violating European airspace with fighter jets and drones in current weeks.

    Requested on Tuesday whether or not NATO states ought to shoot down Russian planes that violate their airspace, Trump stated: “Sure, I do.”

    KREMLIN WARNS OF DANGEROUS CONSEQUENCES

    Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed Russian state TV that “irresponsible statements about the necessity to shoot down Russian plane are, on the very least, reckless, irresponsible and carry harmful penalties.”

    Peskov didn’t straight identify Trump, casting the calls as a substitute as coming from Europe.

    NATO Secretary-Normal Mark Rutte stated Thursday he supported concentrating on Russian jets in the event that they cross into member states’ airspace.

    “I completely agree right here with President Trump,” he informed Fox Information, including that NATO “may even do extra, and if obligatory, the final word to guard our folks.”
