    Human rights teams say politicians have been forcibly disappeared in current days

    Mali’s military government has dissolved all political events after accusations from rights teams that opposition figures have been arrested.

    Assimi Goita, who seized energy in two military coups in 2020 and 2021, validated the choice after it was broadcast to Malians in a televised assertion on Tuesday.

    The events had been disbanded after demonstrations this month, demanding the nation returned to democratic rule.

    Protesters gathered on May 3 and 4, carrying placards with slogans studying, “Down with dictatorship, lengthy reside democracy,” in a uncommon public rebuke of the army authorities, which had promised to carry elections in 2022.

    A nationwide convention held in April really helpful extending Goita’s presidency till 2030, drawing condemnation from opposition figures and human rights teams.
