    Coachella, the music competition that occurred throughout two weekends this month, drew crowds of 125,000-plus attendees every day.

    A report revealed by Billboard final week exhibits that a lot of the crowd, about 60%, used Coachella’s fee plan system to pay for his or her $600-and-up tickets. The plan permits attendees entry to Coachella with an upfront value of as little as $49.99.

    Tickets began at $649 for the primary weekend of Coachella from April 10 via 12 and $600 for the second weekend from April 17 via 19. People reported that tickets used to value $429 per weekend in 2020. When Coachella began in 1999, tickets were $50.

    The competition first started providing the buy-now-pay-later possibility in 2009, and on the time, solely 18% of attendees tapped into it, per Individuals.

    Coachella partnered with ticketing firm AXS to supply the purchase now, pay later fee plan, which allows the competition goer to repay their ticket over three months. Coachella doesn’t cost curiosity for the ticket buy, however does require that those that go for the fee plan pay a $41 price for utilizing the service, which quantities to about 8% of the ticket worth.
