    Barely an hour later, Türkiye’s defence ministry confirmed one other ballistic missile fired from Iran had been intercepted in Turkish airspace by NATO defence methods within the second such incident in 5 days.

    “A ballistic munition launched from Iran and getting into Turkish airspace was neutralised by NATO air and missile defence property within the japanese Mediterranean,” it stated in a press release.

    Some fragments from the weaponry fell in open territory within the Gaziantep space, about 200km east of Adana, inflicting no accidents, the ministry added.

    Incirlik air base is a vital NATO facility that has been utilized by US troops for many years which is situated simply 10km outdoors Adana.

    In a submit on X, presidential communications chief Burhanettin Duran stated Türkiye wouldn’t hesitate to guard its airspace and border safety.

    Spanish Defence Minister Margarita Robles stated the missile was noticed by Spanish troops manning a Patriot missile battery, who’re primarily based at Incirlik.
