    Diplomats at NATO say that some alliance members are floating concepts together with presumably launching a brand new mission within the area.

    However to date discussions are at an embryonic stage and there aren’t any concrete proposals on the desk, they are saying.

    European leaders have thrown their weight behind Denmark because it seeks to fend off Trump’s want for Greenland.

    The international ministers of Denmark and Greenland are set to carry talks this week with US prime diplomat Marco Rubio.

    Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has warned that if Washington adopted by way of with an armed assault on Greenland that it might spell the top of NATO.

    Trump nonetheless has reacted by insisting he has made the alliance stronger by forcing European international locations to up defence spending.
