    MANILA: Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr stated on Monday (Aug 11) that Beijing has “misinterpreted” his feedback saying Manila will probably be inevitably drawn in to a battle between China and Taiwan ought to one erupt.

    China accused Marcos of “playing with fire” after the Philippine chief stated throughout a go to to India that “there isn’t any method that the Philippines can keep out of it” resulting from its proximity to the democratically ruled island.

    “We’re, I feel for propaganda functions, misinterpreted,” Marcos informed a press briefing.

    “I am a bit of bit perplexed why it could be characterised as such, as enjoying with fireplace,” he added.

    China’s embassy in Manila didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.

    Marcos stated Filipinos working and dwelling in Taiwan must be evacuated if a battle does come up however maintained that he needs to keep away from confrontation and warfare.
