Re: “Ravenna Varsity Restaurant closing after 60-plus years” (July 31, Enterprise):

Ravenna Varsity is as comforting as a porch swing or a stroll within the forest. It’s been my household’s go-to place for over 20 years. I like the crimson Naugahyde cubicles, the employees and the sweet-potato hash. It’s so profitable I usually have to attend for a desk and it’s been like that ceaselessly.

Why change a superb factor? What’s mistaken with this landlord? With a lot altering on a regular basis in Seattle, a daily place is a rarity. Some would name it retro; I name it house. Please, landlord, change your thoughts.

    Marianne Scruggs, Seattle
