    Mark Bray, a Rutgers College historical past professor and self-proclaimed “Antifa professional,” has fled the US to Spain after allegedly receiving “demise threats” amid accusations that he’s extra concerned with the far-left extremist motion than merely learning it.

    Nonetheless, his 2017 ebook, Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook, has fueled accusations of deeper involvement.

    Within the ebook, Bray pledged 50% of proceeds to the Worldwide Anti-Fascist Protection Fund, which he described as supporting “the authorized or medical prices of individuals going through expenses for organizing pertaining to anti-fascism or anti-racism.”

    Conservatives argue this constitutes materials assist, probably opening the door for federal investigations beneath Trump’s order designating Antifa as a home terrorist group.

    The controversy erupted when the Rutgers chapter of Turning Level USA (TPUSA) launched a petition calling for Bray’s dismissal.

    The petition, hosted on Change.org, accuses Bray of being an “Antifa financier” and an “outspoken, well-known antifa member,” stating that his presence at Rutgers endangers college students and promotes terrorist conduct.

    The group, whose founder, Charlie Kirk, was executed final month at a university talking occasion, acknowledged within the petition:

    “With the present development of left-wing terrorism, having a outstanding chief of the antifa motion on campus is a menace to conservative college students on campus. Dr. Bray has recurrently referred to mainstream conservative figures corresponding to Invoice O’reilly as fascist whereas he requires militant actions to be taken in opposition to these people.     On Wednesday, Bray’s household’s flight from Newark Liberty Worldwide Airport was abruptly canceled on the gate after they’d checked baggage and cleared safety.

    Bray shared on Bluesky, “‘Somebody’ cancelled my household’s flight in another country on the final second. We obtained our boarding passes. We checked our baggage. Went via safety. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’”

    They rescheduled and efficiently fled to Spain the next day, The Hill reports.
