    Business Insider (BI) experiences that the Federal Commerce Fee has opened an investigation into Publishing.com, an organization that sells programs on creating and promoting AI-generated books as a aspect hustle.

    Per BI, Publishing.com raked in almost $50 million in 2022. In 62 complaints obtained by the outlet, prospects sometimes spent $2,000, whereas some spent over $7,000 on programs and extra sources.

    Prospects complained to the FTC that Publishing.com used high-pressure gross sales ways, and was not forthcoming about how a lot extra cash prospects would have to be spent to publish, market and shut gross sales. One criticism learn, “They consistently say to make use of bank cards, borrow cash, put your self in debt as a way to afford this program.”
