We Can Save The World!!! marks Cheng’s debut function movie, following his net collection Common Guys and Neighbourhood Watch Job Drive. In a press launch, Cheng describes the movie as a love letter to Singapore and to anybody who has felt caught in life.
“As younger filmmakers in Singapore, we’re typically given a wholesome dose of pessimism, informed to not count on an excessive amount of, to remain inside protected lanes, to observe acquired knowledge. However we made this movie anyway, in opposition to the percentages,” Cheng shared.
“I hope Singaporeans will see themselves on this film – to chortle, to cry, and to keep in mind that our messy, bizarre, ridiculous lives are value placing on the massive display screen.”
Now in its twenty fourth version, NYAFF is North America’s main showcase of Asian cinema.
