    I recognize Bryan Kirschner’s “Tech made me wealthy. I should be taxed more” (Feb. 14, Opinion). However I might go additional: I must be taxed extra, too. Or, moderately, I must be taxed in another way — most likely extra, however by way of a progressive revenue tax along with significant changes to property tax and regressive excise taxes.

    Taxing shouldn’t be about socking it to the rich. It’s what we do in a free society to pay for these issues deemed socially fascinating. All of us have a stake in a thriving Washington state. Our unbalanced tax system fails to acknowledge that and falls disproportionately on these much less properly off.
