    Toh Wei Soong clinches silver in men’s 50m freestyle S7 at Commonwealth Games

    SINGAPORE: Singapore para swimmer Toh Wei Soong clinched silver within the males’s 50m freestyle S7 on the Commonwealth Video games in Glasgow on Wednesday (Jul 29).

    He completed second within the ultimate of the occasion on the Tollcross Worldwide Swimming Centre with a time of 29.36s.

    Toh completed behind South African Christian Sadie, who set a Video games report of 28.06s to clinch gold, whereas Bruce Dee of England completed third to spherical off the highest three.

    The medal is Singapore’s second at this version of the Video games, coming a day after gymnast Amanda Yap clinched the country’s first – a silver within the girls’s stability beam.

    Toh had completed second within the occasion’s sole warmth earlier on Wednesday, clocking a time of 29.44s.

    The medal is Toh’s third within the occasion on the Commonwealth Video games. He beforehand took silver on the 2022 Video games in Birmingham and bronze on the 2018 Video games on the Gold Coast.
