United States President Donald Trump has threatened to interrupt the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas if the Palestinian group continues to focus on gangs and alleged Israeli collaborators in Gaza.

“If Hamas continues to kill individuals in Gaza, which was not the Deal, we may have no selection however to go in and kill them,” Trump wrote in a social media put up on Thursday. “Thanks in your consideration to this matter!”

The assertion seems to sign an about-face from Trump, who earlier this week expressed help for Hamas’s crackdown on gangs within the Palestinian territory.

“They did take out a few gangs that have been very dangerous, very, very dangerous gangs,” Trump instructed reporters on Tuesday. “And so they did take them out, they usually killed a variety of gang members. And that didn’t hassle me a lot, to be trustworthy with you. That’s OK.”
