WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump’s authorities has requested international locations to pay US$1.0 billion for a everlasting spot on his “Board of Peace” geared toward resolving conflicts, based on its constitution, seen Monday (Jan 19) by AFP.
The White Home has requested numerous world leaders to sit down on the board, chaired by Trump himself, together with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Hungarian premier Viktor Orban and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Member international locations – represented on the board by their head of state – could be allowed to hitch for 3 years – or longer in the event that they paid greater than US$1.0 billion throughout the first 12 months, the constitution says.

“Every Member State shall serve a time period of not more than three years from this Constitution’s entry into drive, topic to renewal by the Chairman,” the board’s draft constitution says.

“The three-year membership time period shall not apply to Member States that contribute greater than US$1,000,000,000 in money funds to the Board of Peace throughout the first 12 months of the Constitution’s entry into drive.”

The board was initially conceived to oversee the rebuilding of Gaza, however its constitution doesn’t seem to restrict its function to the occupied Palestinian territory.

The White Home stated there could be a primary board, a Palestinian committee of technocrats meant to control devastated Gaza, and a second “government board” that seems designed to have a extra advisory function.

“The Board of Peace is a global organisation that seeks to advertise stability, restore reliable and lawful governance, and safe enduring peace in areas affected or threatened by battle,” the constitution says.
