    LONDON: Britain’s air site visitors controllers reported a technical difficulty that disrupted flights at main airports in London and elsewhere within the nation on Wednesday (Jul 30), although later stated the problem had been resolved.

    “Our engineers have now restored the system that was affected this afternoon. We’re within the strategy of resuming regular operations within the London space,” NATS, the nation’s air site visitors management supplier, stated in a submit on X.

    Heathrow Airport stated all departures had been paused, and Gatwick Airport stated the problem had affected all outbound flights throughout the UK.

    “There are at the moment no departures from London Gatwick whereas the scenario is being resolved,” it stated in an announcement on X.

    London Metropolis Airport additionally posted on X that flights there have been affected by the identical difficulty.

    Edinburgh Airport additionally stated departures have been at the moment being held awaiting additional info from NATS.
