    LONDON: Beginning on Wednesday (Feb 25), guests to Britain from 85 nations, together with Singapore, should get hold of an digital allow prematurely of their journey or they are going to be barred from travelling, the UK inside ministry mentioned.

    The Digital Journey Authorisation (ETA) scheme requires all guests who don’t want a visa to enter Britain to buy a pre-travel allow on-line at a price of 16 kilos (US$21.57).

    The scheme was launched in 2023 and prolonged to European guests in April final 12 months, however has not been strictly enforced.

    Nevertheless, from Feb 25, it will likely be necessary for guests to the UK to have obtained an ETA to journey.
