    US Vice President JD Vance mentioned Russia has made “vital concessions” towards a negotiated settlement in its conflict with Ukraine and was assured progress was being made regardless of the lack of clear signs the conflict is nearing an end.

    Talking on NBC’s “Meet the Press with Kristen Welker”, Vance mentioned Russian President Vladimir Putin has made a number of concessions, together with that Ukraine will obtain safety ensures defending towards future Russian aggression.

    “I feel the Russians have made vital concessions to President Trump for the primary time in three and a half years of this battle,” Vance mentioned in feedback aired on Sunday (Aug 24).

    “They’ve recognised that they are not going to have the ability to set up a puppet regime in Kyiv. That was, after all, a serious demand at first. And importantly, they’ve acknowledged that there’s going to be some safety assure to the territorial integrity of Ukraine.”
